George W. Hynd, the College of Charleston's provost and executive vice president for Academic Affairs, is among four finalists for president of the University of Memphis, according to WREG in Memphis.
The other finalists are: Guy Bailey, professor and former president at the University of Alabama and former president at Texas Tech University; Sharon Gaber, provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of Arkansas; and David Rudd, provost at the University of Memphis.
Finalists will visit the University of Memphis campus March 16-25.
