Grease is great for hangovers - so long as you ingest it before you start drinking.

Fatty foods slow the absorption of alcohol, which is why a pre-drink gulp of olive oil is common practice in certain Mediterranean cultures. But grease cravings rarely hit until the next morning, when your stomach is least prepared to take a beating.

Still, a biscuit sandwich isn't the worst idea ever: Your body will likely appreciate the carbs in the bread and amino acids in the eggs.

Caviar & Bananas, 51 George St., serves breakfast every day but saves its fried chicken and egg biscuit for the weekends. Best news if you're looking for something fatty? It's smothered in gravy.
