After having been closed to traffic for about three hours, Harbor View Road on James Island is open to traffic, authorities said.
Police, fire and rescue workers were dispatched to the three-vehicle collision near Fort Sumter Drive at 8:18 a.m., according to officials with Charleston County's Consolidated Dispatch Center.
A large cement mixing truck had overturned and two cars were also involved. At least one person had to be extricated from a car.
All the drivers were taken to a hospital for treatment, according to a news release from the Charleston County Sheriff's Office.
The road was still was closed until about 11:30 a.m. so crews could put the cement truck upright and tow it away.
