Karpeles Museum's Baseball Exhibit

What: The Karpeles Manuscript Museum's exhibit consists of two dozen manuscripts relating to the early history of baseball in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Included are items showing the founding of the National League and original contracts of Babe Ruth with the Red Sox, Yankees and Braves.

When: 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday through April 30

'Break Every Chain' Benefit & Auction

What: Lowcountry-based Universole will host this "Break Every Chain" fundraiser, to include special guest Jillian Mourning, a survivor of human trafficking, live music from Luke Cunningham and Irene Rose Smith, food and drinks, a silent auction and more. Proceeds will benefit Universole, a local nonprofit that teaches leather and shoemaking skills to at-risk women and survivors of human trafficking, to empower them with sustainable skills that make self-sufficiency a reality. Dress is cocktail chic, and guests will be entered for door prizes.
