No. 5 Faber
The first few months of the year are what's referred to in the wedding biz as "bridal Christmas," since so many women who received engagement rings on Christmas, New Year's Eve or Valentine's Day are suddenly in the market for dresses, caterers and reception venues.
The Neighborhood Dining Group, the company behind McCrady's and Husk, last month came up with one more option in the latter category for local brides-to-be. No. 5 Faber is a downtown event space with a commercial kitchen, bar, lounge, piano and space to accommodate 225 people. Rental fees start at $1,100 for five hours.
What the facility doesn't offer is catering, tables and chairs, so couples, meeting planners and other renters have to make their own arrangements.
