Former Goose Creek man, 20, shot to death in Colorado

Authorities in Colorado are investigating the fatal shooting early Saturday of a 20-year-old man who once lived in Goose Creek.

De'Vante' Kayron Hill, whose last address was in Colorado Springs, was found about 2:30 a.m. Saturday on Airport Road in that city, according to reports from KOAA-TV in Colorado Springs.

He had been shot.

He was taken to a hospital, where he later died, the station's report stated.

Hill was from Goose Creek, and his parents and siblings are area residents, according to an obituary in Thursday's editions of The Post and Courier. Berkeley County court records indicated that he had lived on Adeline Drive in Goose Creek.

Colorado Springs authorities were investigating the shooting as a homicide, according to the station's report, but details of the crime were few. It was the fourth homicide there this year.
