A Mount Pleasant woman has told police that a man was peering in her bedroom window Wednesday night.
Police were called to a ground-floor apartment on Harbor Pointe Drive about 7 p.m., according to the incident report. The resident told officers she saw a face peering through a small section of the blinds that was missing.
The woman told police she had heard sounds outside her window several times over the last month but always assumed it was an animal.
She described the peeping Tom as a black man about 35 years old, with dreadlocks, wearing black and magenta pants that appeared to be baggy, and a baggy white shirt or jacket.
The apartment complex is accessible by foot from Northcutt Plaza, according to the report. Officers said they checked several restaurants, since the clothing matched outfits worn by men who prepare food. No leads were reported.
