A McClellanville resident says his house was shot Wednesday night because he snitched on a co-defendant.
Charleston County deputies were called to Old Collins Creek Road about 9 p.m. Several people said they were in the living room and heard the front door window break and a bullet hit a living room wall, according to the incident report. They told deputies they saw a gray SUV drive off.
Deputies on the way to the house saw a gray Isuzu Rodeo front first in a ditch at Putman Drive and Old Collins Road. Nobody was inside, according to the report.
Witnesses named some suspects, but no arrest warrants had been issued as of late Thursday, according to Maj. Eric Watson. The case that may have sparked the incident is pending, according to the incident report, and no other details were available.
Anybody with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
