Sites that are interested in serving breakfast and hot lunch meals to Charleston County students during the summer are invited to apply to do so.

Charleston County School District's Nutrition Services Department will provide free breakfast and lunch meals to approved sites through its Seamless Summer Feeding Program. The program begins June 9 and ends Aug. 8.

Approved summer sites, such as schools, camps, churches, community and recreation centers, pick up breakfast and lunch meals on a daily basis from one of 10 school cafeterias, and all necessary serving and eating utensils are provided.

To apply to become a site, go to ccsdschools.com, click on the "school meals" link, then click on "summer meals program." The deadline to apply is May 9.
