New sharks moved into Great Ocean Tank at S.C. Aquarium

The South Carolina Aquarium added five sharks to their largest exhibit, The Great Ocean Tank, Wednesday.

The sharks included three blacknose shark, one sandbar shark and one nurse shark. The new additions bring the total number of sharks in the Great Ocean Tank to 11.

Twelve tarpon were also moved into the 385,000-gallon exhibit. There are approximately 750 animals in the tank, according to a press release.
