The likely Democratic nominee for governor garnered an endorsement Tuesday from a conservation group looking to promote the environment and "green" energy initiatives in the Palmetto State.
The Conservation Voters of South Carolina, a non-profit, endorsed state Sen. Vincent Sheheen, D-Camden, over Gov. Nikki Haley, who the group says has been "openly hostile" to environmental concerns. A Haley spokesman said her approach has been sensible and promoted jobs and the economy.
