Sunny skies and mild temperatures are expected around the Lowcountry this week, according to forecasters with the National Weather Service. Following last week's winter storm, this week is likely to be cool with high temperatures reaching the 70s. Rain isn't expected until Friday night, when there's a 40 percent chance of rain. There's also a 50 percent chance of showers on Saturday and 20 percent chance Saturday night.
But forecasters are expecting clear skies the early part of the weekday, with the exception of Tuesday night, when they predict a 20 percent chance of rain. Low temperatures this week are expected to remain around the 50s.
