West Ashley High School was temporarily placed on lockdown Friday morning after bullets were found on an incoming school bus.

According to Charleston County School District spokesman Jason Sakran, the lockdown of the school on Wildcat Boulevard was issued around 7 a.m. and lasted about two hours while law enforcement investigated the incident.

Police found 11 .32-caliber bullets on the bus, according to an incident report. No ammunition or weapons were found in the school.

It was not clear if students were on the bus when the bullets were found.
