Free Film: 'The Iran Job'

What: This film follows American basketball player Kevin Sheppard as he accepts a job to play professionally in Iran. With tensions running high between Iran and the West, Sheppard tries to separate sports from politics, only to find that politics is impossible to escape in Iran. Along the way he forms a friendship with three outspoken Iranian women and in turn, his apartment becomes an oasis of free speech, discussing politics, religion, gender roles and more.

'Music Matters' Concert Series, String Extravaganza

What: This concert will feature the award-winning students of the Kremer Strings Studio. Drawing from the classical chamber music repertoire, they will present a piano trio as well solos for cello, violin, and piano, including composers Bach, Vivaldi, Corelli, Kreisler, and Bruch. This music advocacy project by local Girl Scout, Abigail Kent, strives to raise community awareness to support live music.
