The College of Charleston's search for a new president continues to move forward, but names of finalists for the school's top post have not yet been released.
A presidential search committee reviewed candidates last week, and then recommended five candidates to the school's Board of Trustees. The board ultimately will choose the next president.
The board met Tuesday to review those recommendations, and possibly other candidates, but adjourned without coming to any decision on finalists.
Under state law, the board must release the names of the final pool of no fewer than three candidates.
The board will meet again to continue reviewing candidates, but it hasn't yet scheduled a date for that meeting. Greg Padgett, the board's chairman, has said the board likely will release the names of finalists some time in February.
