Five members of the Kuwaiti Air Force will pass through Joint Base Charleston Friday afternoon en route to Kuwait, where they will deliver their nation's first C-17 Globemaster III.
The Kuwaiti Air Force members have been embedded with 17th Airlift Squadron, 437th Airlift Wing, of Charleston, for the last month, receiving "seasoning" training on the C-17.
the aircrew travelled to Long Beach, Calif., on Feb. 7 to conduct their final navigation courses and their last official training.
Kuwait purchased the aircraft from Boeing as part of a foreign military sales agreement.
