MANNING -- Two men have been arrested after the weekend shooting death of a 23-year-old man in Manning.

The Clarendon County Sheriff's Department says officers arrived at a home in Manning late Sunday and found Maurice Jeffery Conyers on his back in the front yard.

Authorities say 38-year-old Joseph Tindal is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Forty-year-old Eddie Lee Hilton is charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

The men are in the Clarendon County jail and are to appear before a magistrate for bond hearings. It isn't immediately clear whether the two men have attorneys.

Coroner Hayes Samuels says Conyers' body will be transported to Charleston for an autopsy.
