Rapper DMX wil square off against George Zimmerman in a celebrity boxing match, CNN is reporting.
A date and location have not yet been set.
DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was arrested four times in 2013 in various parts of South Carolina. The charges ranged from driving without a license to driving under the influence.
Zimmerman is best known for facing second-degree murder and manslaughter charges in the 2012 fatal shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in Flordia. He was acquitted of those charges.
Since then, he has had other run-ins with law enforcement centering around domestic incidents with his enstranged wife and girlfriend.
Zimmerman told CNN last week that was soliciting offers for an opponent for the match, which he says was his idea.
"The news has been out for an hour and my e-mail is overloaded with 8,000 people wanting to fight George," Feldman told CNN on Thursday.
The match is being organzied by celebrity boxing promoter Damon Feldman. Proceeds will be donated to charity.
