Wounded Nature - Working Veterans is seeking volunteer boaters and donations for its cleanup of Drum Island next month.
Boaters are asked to sign in for a briefing at 11 a.m. March 15 at Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina.
"Many visitors to Charleston walk the Ravenel Bridge and look down as they admire the bridge's panoramic view" said Rudy Socha, CEO of Wounded Nature. "Unfortunately, during low tide, they see an island with a coastline littered with trash."
There will be a party after the cleanup with prizes. More information on the event is available at woundednature.org.
