A cable television line fell on a school bus loaded with students Monday morning on James Island.
The incident was reported before 7 a.m. near Westmoreland Avenue and Secessionville Road.
Authorities first thought the wire was a power line, but Charleston Police Department spokesman Charles Francis said crews were able to remove it and allow the bus to get back under way.
Francis said the police department had fielded a call about an electrical hazard, not a traffic accident.
Officers said about 22 students were on the bus, according to their radio transmissions. They were not hurt.
