Mount Pleasant man, 25, found safe in northern Florida, police confirm

The Mount Pleasant Police Department said Justin Addlesberger, 25, of Harbor Pointe Drive was found in Florida on Friday, a week after he left his Harbor Pointe Drive home.

A 25-year-old Mount Pleasant man was found in northern Florida on Friday, a week after he left his Harbor Pointe Drive home, local authorities confirmed Monday.

The Baker County Sheriff's Office located Justin Addlesberger at a Citgo gas station off Exit 335 on westbound Interstate 10, which is west of Jacksonville, according to Inspector Chris Helms of the Mount Pleasant Police Department.

His family was notified of his well-being, Helms said.

Addlesberger, a keyboard player in a local band, had been last seen in Mount Pleasant on Jan. 24.

He had taken a taxi home around 10 p.m. that day, then picked up a few items before going out again, the police said.

A friend said investigators later tracked Addlesberger's cellphone to the Tanger Outlets in North Charleston.

The police did not provide further information to explain his weeklong disappearance.
