The National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory until 9 a.m. Sunday for Southeastern South Carolina.

Visibilities will decrease to less than one-quarter mile, and in some areas, visibilities will be near zero.

The situation will create hazardous driving conditions, forecasters said.

Motorists are advised to be prepared for poor visibility and increased travel time. They are also advised to use low-beam headlights and leave plenty of distance ahead in case a sudden stop is needed.
