AIKEN, S.C. -- Authorities say a man who tried to break into an Aiken home left his driver's license behind.
The Aiken Standard reports that a woman said she returned to her home at around 7 p.m. Friday to find a South Carolina driver's license wedged between the front door and the frame.
An Aiken Department of Public Safety report says a neighbor told the woman about someone leaving the area. The woman knew the man and called his mother, who said she didn't know where he was.
No other information has been released, and officers said they saw no other signs of forced entry.
