Iconic rock idol Mick Jagger might be on his way to the Holy City, for Mardi Gras.
A liaison to the agent for the Rolling Stones' lead man called Donnie Bulliard, Krewe of Charleston captain, to ask about arrangements, Bulliard said Monday.
Jagger is interested in attending the Masquerade Ball at the Charleston Area Convention Center in North Charleston, Bulliard said.
"I'm just off-the-chain thrilled," Bulliard said. There hasn't been a confirmation yet, and when asked if this were for real, Bulliard said, "Well, let me tell you, you never know." But the liaison also asked for hotel and dining options, he said.
Bulliard said Jagger has been in the Southeast recently doing location shooting for a James Brown biopic, according to published reports.
Tickets for the limited seating, black-tie formal start at $150 and 36 seats were left on Monday, according to the event website.
