The March of Dimes will kick off its 2014 March for Babies fundraising campaign in Charleston will be noon on Feb. 11 at East Cooper Medical Center.
Individuals, families and businesses throughout the Charleston area are invited to attend and start raising funds for the March for Babies, which will be held April 26 at Cannon Park.
During the kick off, participants will have the opportunity to meet the 2014 Ambassador Family, pick up fundraising materials and learn more about the 2014 campaign. Top fundraisers from 2013 will also be recognized.
March for Babies raises funds for vital research to help prevent premature birth and birth defects. Funds raised also support community programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies.
In Charleston, March for Babies is sponsored by East Cooper Medical Center, Select Health of South Carolina, MUSC, Trident Health System, Robert Bosch, Roper St. Francis Healthcare, Publix Supermarkets, Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union, Santee Cooper, Strand Media Group and Y102.5
