A Moncks Corner man was arrested and charged Saturday afternoon with the armed robbery of a Summerville pharmacy Thursday night, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office.
Marshall Stuart Johnson, 25, of 1390 N. Highway 52, was charged with armed robbery and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a violent crime, Sheriff's Office spokesman Dan Moon said.
Witnesses said Johnson pulled up to the drive-thru window of the CVS at 1941 N. Main St. with a pistol and handed an employee a noted demanding a prescription bottle of Oxycodone pills, according to Moon.
Following up on a tip and descriptive information from witnesses, deputies located and arrested Johnson. He was being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center pending a bail hearing scheduled for Sunday night, Moon said.
