An arrest has been made after a resident of a North Charleston apartment complex said a man hit him in the head with a gun in a robbery attempt last week.
Several men who live in the apartment complex on Pine Field Court off McMillan Avenue told officers two men pulled out guns and demanded money about 4 p.m. Jan. 15, according to the incident report. One of the robbers hit a man in the side of the head with a handgun, causing his head to bleed enough that he had to be taken to a hospital. The two armed men left with about $70, according to the report.
William Keith Scott, 24, of Terrace Drive was arrested Tuesday and charged with two counts of armed robbery, first-degree assault and battery and possession of a firearm during commission of a violent crime. He was being held Wednesday in the Charleston County jail on $300,000 bail.
