What: There are 254 migratory and year-round bird species found at Magnolia Plantation. The guide, Perry Nugent, has been actively studying birds for over 50 years and has led the bird walks at Magnolia Plantation since 1988. Refreshments will be served after the walk.

Kayak the Rice Fields

What: The Charleston Kayaking MeetUp Group will paddle the rice fields on Rantoules Creek, launching from Bulow Landing. This paddle is suitable for beginners, but avoid cotton clothing because of cold water temperatures. Call in advance to reserve a kayak.

Free Film Screening: ‘Las Marthas’

What: Dating back to the aftermath of the Spanish-American War, the annual debutante ball in Laredo, Texas is unlike any other. The film “Las Marthas” follows two Mexican-American girls carrying on this tradition during a time of economic uncertainty and political tension over immigration. Presented by the Park Circle Film Society, a Q&A session will follow the screening.

Blackout Party - 18 & Under Only Dance
