IRMO, S.C. -- Richland County officials are expected to release the names of two adults and two young children found shot to death in a Columbia-area home.
Sheriff’s deputies say a husband, wife and two children were found in the home near Irmo late Wednesday morning. Deputies think the shooting was a murder-suicide. They have not said who they thought fired the shots but said a gun was found near the man.
Sgt. Curtis Wilson says the children were found in their individual bedrooms. The adults were found together in their bedroom.
Wilson said the man’s mother went to the home and found the bodies after not hearing from her son for a couple of days.
Rachel Hinson says she had attended Bible study in the couple’s home and attended church with them.
