Pinewood Preparatory School seeks applicants for 2014 Academic Merit Scholarship Program

Pinewood Preparatory School is accepting applications for its 2014 Academic Merit Scholarship Program.

The program is open to rising ninth and 10th graders who exhibit high academic achievement and leadership potential. Winners can receive a renewable award of up to 50 percent of their annual tuition fees.

Scholarships are awarded based on: class rank and nationally standardized test scores; commitment to participating in the school’s Global Scholar or Fine Arts programs; and leadership potential.

Applicants must submit an application, essay and two letters of recommendation by March 1. Applicants also will do an in-person interview.

Applications are available on the school’s website, www.pinewoodprep.com, or at the school’s main office. Pinewood Prep is an independent, college preparatory school for students in pre-school through 12th grade in Summerville.
