A 20-year-old Goose Creek man was arrested after investigators said they found more than 3,000 images of child pornography on his computer’s hard drive.

Alexander Michael Green of Webster Drive faces four counts of third-degree criminal exploitation of a minor.

Last month, the Naval Investigative Service alerted Goose Creek police that Green might have child porn on his home computer, according to a police affidavit. Investigators got a search warrant and seized Green’s computer.

A forensic analysis found 3,002 photographs of nude or semi-nude juvenile females, as well as 45 videos of nude female children, according to the incident report. One of the videos alleged to show a 6-year-old girl having sex, according to an affidavit.

Naval Weapons Station police took Green into custody Jan. 5 and turned him over to Goose Creek police.

Green was being held in the Berkeley County jail on Wednesday on $160,000 bail.
