A pickup truck hit a pedestrian on the Crosstown at Coming Street Monday night, diverting traffic heading toward North Charleston and Mount Pleasant for several hours.
The truck hit the pedestrian about 6:30 p.m., Charleston police spokesman Charles Francis said. The pedestrian was taken to Medical University Hospital.
A westbound lane on the Crosstown was closed, and traffic from Coming Street was diverted. The lanes reopened to traffic about 8:45 p.m.
