North Charleston police are investigating after someone held up a Circle K gas station early Friday morning.
Authorities responded to the Circle K station on West Montague Avenue at 4:03 a.m. concerning reports of the armed robber, officials with Charleston County's Consolidated Dispatch Center report.
The store's clerk reported that she was in the cooler when a man approached her and said "give me the money," police spokesman Spencer Pryor said.
The man pulled out a weapon and walked with the clerk toward the counter. He took cash from the register and ran from the store, Pryor said.
The robber is described as a black man with long dreads, Pryor said. The suspect was last seen running toward Dorchester Road, he said.
Anyone with information about the robbery can call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
