North Charleston firefighters have extinguished a fire at an apartment complex this morning.
Authorities responded to the fire at Dorchester Gardens Apartments, 5600 Dorchester Road, at 6:17 a.m., according to Charleston County's Consolidated Dispatch Center.
The first firefighters to arrive reported a fully engulfed single-story building, said spokeswoman Bianca Bourbeau. They called for a second alarm, prompting a full set of additional responders to the scene.
The fire was extinguished and no one was injured, Bourbeau said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
