Surveillance photos of the man who held up a West Ashley Dollar General store with duct tape across his face Tuesday have been released.

Charleston County Sheriff's deputies were called to the store at 2346 Ashley River Road about 10 p.m. Tuesday. Witnesses told them a black man with duct tape on his face entered the store, pointed a silver gun and demanded money.

The manager was forced to open a safe, and the man ran off with a white bag containing $1,052.96, according to the incident report.

The robber was described as a black man wearing a black jacket, black pants, a blue hoodie and gloves.
