One Berkeley County school is among nine finalists for the 2014 Palmetto's Finest Schools Award.
Howe Hall Arts Infused Magnet School is the lone Tri-County school on the list of schools that are under consideration for the honor, which is given by the South Carolina Association of School Administrators.
The award recognized schools that offer the best in innovative, effective educational programs.
The application process includes reviews of student achievement, instructional programs, professional learning communities and school culture. Seventeen schools submitted the 20-page application and received an on-site examination. The nine finalist are undergoing a second on-site evaluation.
Winners will be announced March 26.
