Homeless people looking for a place to get in out of the cold tonight can find shelter at the Charleston County Detention Center.

The needy can find a bed in the detention center's work camp on Leeds Avenue in North Charleston, Sheriff's Maj. Eric Watson said.

Temperatures are expected to drop into the teens in the Charleston area tonight, with stiff winds making it seem even colder.

Anyone needing help can call the Sheriff's Office at 202 -1700.
