GREENVILLE, S.C. - A South Carolina teacher and football coach has been arrested in an undercover prostitution sting.
Jamie Mathew Crisp was arrested Friday evening by Greenville County Sheriff's deputies and charged with misdemeanor solicitation of prostitution. Authorities say the 33-year-old teacher at J.L. Mann High School communicated with an undercover deputy through the Internet and arranged a meeting with the intention of exchanging money for sex.
Crisp faces up to 30 days in jail and a $200 fine if convicted.
Greenville County School District spokesperson Oby Lyles said Crisp has been suspended from his job pending the outcome of an investigation. He has been employed by the school system since 2006.
