Norb Vonnegut novel added to book list
Norb Vonnegut’s third novel, “The Trust,” could be added to the list of “Books That Shaped Work in America,” a project of the U.S. Department of Labor in partnership with the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress.
Vonnegut, who was raised in Charleston, used the city as one of the locales in “The Trust.” His books are about wrongdoing in the financial world.
The web-based project “Books That Shaped Work in America,” found at www.dol.gov/books, launched in mid-December as part of the department’s commemoration of its 100th anniversary. Vonnegut’s book has been shortlisted for inclusion.
