The week leading up to the inaugural Medal of Honor Bowl game at Johnson Hagood Stadium on Jan. 11 is stuffed full of events that are open to the public.
The game itself, which features top draft-eligible college football players from around the country, is set for 2 p.m. Jan. 11.
Here's a look at the week's events. Tickets for all events can be purchased at www.mohbowl.com.
. At noon next Tuesday at Hibernian Hall, an NFL Coaches Luncheon features speakers Chan Gailey and Bob Valesente with coaches, players and scouts in attendance. Tickets are $25 per person.
. At 7:30 a.m. Wednesday aboard the USS Yorktown, a breakfast sponsored by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Former NFL star Jim Stuckey and ex-Clemson quarterback Woody Dantzler will speak. Tickets are $20 per person.
. From 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, a chance for fans to mingle with players at The Alley on Columbus Street in Charleston. Admission is free.
. At noon Thursday at the Lookout Pavilion at Patriots Point, the Wounded Warrior Luncheon with speakers ex-Air Force coach Fisher DeBerry and retired Marine Clebe McClary. Tickets are $35 per person.
. At 6 p.m. Friday Jan. 10, the Medal of Honor Black Tie Gala at the Culinary Institute of Charleston at Trident Techincal College. Medal of Honor recipients will be on hand, with guest speakers Ed Marinaro and retired Marine Maj. Gen. James E. Livingston. Tickets start at $125 per person.
. From 10:30 a.m. until kickoff on Saturday Jan. 11, a game day tailgate party at Johnson Hagood Stadium. Admission is free with food and beverages available for purchase.
