A Summerville bank robbery suspect has been arrested in Massachusetts.

Brian Stephen Dyer, 28, of Summerville is accused of holding up the TD Bank at 1900 Trolley Road about 9 a.m. Dec. 23, according to Dorchester County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Sam Richardson.

Images from the bank's surveillance camera showed a man wearing sunglasses and a suit jacket holding a black handgun at a teller's window. Detectives issued a warrant for Dyer for armed robbery Dec. 26.

Investigators thought he was in Rhode Island or Massachusetts and tracked him down in Seekonk, Mass. The Southeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council SWAT team, Seekonk police and the FBI took Dyer into custody about 3:39 a.m. New Year's Day, Richardson said.

Dyer was booked in the New Bedford House of Corrections on $1 million bail awaiting extradition to Dorchester County.
