Crabpot Players Theater Company, the longest running performing company east of the Cooper River, will present a musical revue, "Pennies From Heaven," at 6 p.m. Jan. 2, hosted by The Windjammer on the Isle of Palms, 1008 Ocean Blvd.
The event is a fundraiser to help pay for the company's permanent space in Mount Pleasant at 1119 Johnnie Dodds Blvd., next to the Kickin' Chicken.
"We are approaching our 21st season and have finally found a permanent space in Mount Pleasant for Crabpot to perform as well as offer classes and camps," said founder and Artistic Director Jimmy Ward in a statement. "We need to raise money through our capital funds project to be able to secure the space."
The "Pennies From Heaven" event will include live jazz by the Joe Clarke Quartet, professional vocalists, an oyster roast, BBQ and a silent auction.
Tickets are $30 each, $50 for couples and $10 for children. Purchases are tax deductible. Tickets are available at www.showclix.com/event/ crabpotplayers2014.
