Police release photo of North Charleston Circle K robbery suspect

Police say this man held up the Circle K on West Montague Avenue.

North Charleston police are searching for an unidentified gunman who robbed a Circle K store overnight.

According to police spokesman Spencer Pryor, officers were called shortly after midnight to a Circle K gas station, 3855 West Montague Ave., concerning an armed robbery that took place.

A man wearing a hooded camouflage jacket entered the store and stole money, cigarettes and beer, Pryor said.

The man was armed with a gun, Pryor said. No one was wounded in the incident.

The gunman is described as a black man, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and about 40 years old, Pryor said. The suspect was last spotted fleeing toward Interstate 526.
