Don't worry, last-minute shoppers. I won't put you on the naughty list for being procrastinators.
As it turns out, shopping on the last few days before Christmas isn't the worst thing you could do to your wallet.
Stores know they're in the last days of a strong shopping season, so they're still running major markdowns to get customers in their doors.
I'll tell you which deals to be mindful of this weekend when you shop for your last-minute gifts. But I'll have to warn you, dealing with the crowds and finding parking will be something of a Christmas miracle in most major shopping areas this weekend.
Local boutiques such as Teal, Monkee's on Daniel Island, and Salty Girls, have been offering daily deals for the "12 Days of Christmas."
Also, Palmetto Moon offers a different item every day for buy one, get one at 50 percent off. Check its Facebook pages to find out what the specials are each day.
Coastal Cupboard is bringing back several sale items that sold out during Black Friday.
A dutch oven from Le Creuset, originally $230, is priced $150 this week. A Westhof steak knife set is marked down to $50 from $80.
Also, a Cuisinart food processor is on sale for $40, nearly half off its original price.
Until Sunday, Target will have store-wide sales featuring $10 women's scarves, $7 classic board games, nearly half off of some toys, and up to $100 off of some tablets.
World Market is one of those go-to stores for me when I'm shopping for gifts, and their sales this week make it even more sensible.
Tabletop frames and bath sets are 50 percent off, filled candles are 25 percent off, and all winter accessories such as gloves and hats are 30 percent off.
Plus, this week's circular includes a coupon for $10 off a $30 purchase.
Kohl's will offer deals on gift-oriented items through the weekend. All fine and silver jewelry is 50-60 percent off, women's lounge wear and pajamas is 40-50 percent off, menswear is marked down to as low as $21, and all gifts for men, such as games and beer coolers, are 50 percent off.
Remember to check smart phone shopping apps such as Retail-Me-Not for extra store savings and coupons as you shop this weekend.
There are plenty to take advantage of, and they won't be around for long.
