A suspect has been arrested after somebody drove off from a plant near North Charleston with 15 baskets of metal parts worth more than $54,000 Saturday.
Robert McLeod Grant, 63, of Plow Ground Road on Johns Island is charged with two counts of grand larceny and two counts of obtaining goods by false pretenses. He is being held in the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center.
The theft of joint pins was reported Saturday morning at Hesco Bastion at 2821 Azalea Drive. Charleston County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Grant Thursday afternoon.
Grant was being held in the Charleston County jail Thursday.
