A second shooting was reported in the Chicora neighborhood of North Charleston Tuesday afternoon, about a block from where a woman was shot Monday night.
A man was shot and taken to a hospital Tuesday afternoon after an argument among three men at Leland Street and Chicora Avenue, police spokesman Spencer Pryor said. The other two men ran off after the shooting.
Police had crime tape up at the scene Tuesday afternoon. Military Magnet School was on lockdown during the investigation.
A woman was shot about a block away Monday night. Officers her lying on the sidewalk in front of 1815 Grayson St. with a gunshot wound about 10 p.m., according to the incident report. She was taken to a hospital in critical condition, Pryor said. A witness told officers the shots were fired from the passenger seat of a maroon or dark red Crown Victoria.
