BELTON, S.C. -- An Iva man has been shot to death while visiting his girlfriend in Belton.
Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore said 41-year-old Jody Adam Powell was shot several times Wednesday. Shore says Powell died shortly after 9:30 p.m., shortly after the shooting.
Sixty-one-year-old Bobby Joe Arflin has been arrested and charged with murder, malicious injury to property and a weapons violation. It was not clear if he has a lawyer.
A woman called 911 and told dispatchers her boyfriend had been shot.
Shore said witnesses said the shooting occurred after Powell's vehicle was hit. The coroner said the shooting followed an argument about the wreck.
