South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier was in vintage form today at a news conference for the Captial One Bowl in Orlando, Fla.
The Head Ball Coach managed to work in shots at Florida State and his old Florida Gators team while meeting with reporters to promote the Gamecocks' Jan. 1 meeting with Wisconsin.
Asked about the speeding ticket issued to star defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, Spurrier said, "I didn't know Jadeveon's car could go that fast. He doesn't have a pretty car like those FSU guys used to drive."
Spurrier also noted that the Florida Gators are not going bowling this year.
"Somebody told me the Gators are staying home for the holidays," he said. "Maybe we can get a bunch of Gators to come to our game."
