The Governor's School for Science & Mathematics will host two information sessions in the Charleston area.
These sessions are for students and parents who are interested in learning more about the school's two-year, public, residential program for academically talented juniors and seniors interested in science, technology, engineering and math.
The sessions will be 6 p.m. Monday at the College of Charleston, Robert Scott Small Building, Room 235; and 6 p.m. Tuesday at Oakbrook Elementary School, 306 Old Fort Drive in Ladson.
To RSVP to attend one of the sessions, go to scgssm.org/events.
The school also is accepting applications for the 2014-15 school year. Students may only apply during their sophomore year of high school, and the application deadline for the class of 2016 is Feb. 15.
