Charleston temperature ties 31-year-old record

You knew it’s been warm for December, but how warm?

It was 80 degrees at the Charleston International Airport at 3 p.m. Wednesday, tying a daily temperature high last reached in 1982, according to the National Weather Service.

The mercury is expected to rise to 72 degrees Thursday and Friday, with no chance of rain.
